Singing is not about performance or perfection. It is about connection. It is about what happens when voices come together in a room and something shifts, something that is hard to name but easy to feel.
All Sing by Sea sessions are taught by ear. No sheet music, no experience needed, no auditions. Just come as you are.
Singing Mamas
Time TBC. For mothers and their babies.
Singing Mamas is a national community singing movement designed to support maternal mental health and wellbeing. Sessions bring mothers and their babies together to sing, connect and find a moment of calm in the chaos of early parenthood.
You will find community, laughter and the particular joy that comes from singing with others. Come for either the singing, the friendships, or both!
Drop-in or subscribe for a regular spot. Babies and young children very welcome.

Songcatchers
Time TBC. For women.
Songcatchers is an informal weekly singing group for women who want to sing for the pure joy of it. Folk songs, sea shanties, world music and more, drawn from all kinds of traditions and taught entirely by ear.
Just singing, company and the occasional optional performance if the mood takes us.

Sauna Sessions
Ad hoc. For all genders.
Occasional singing sessions in the sauna, warm, intimate and a little bit magical. Dates announced on Instagram when available.
Sing and Swim
Seasonal, outdoor. For all genders
Beach singing followed by a sea swim, or the other way around. Rooted in the Cornish coastline and the simple joy of being outside with others. Dates announced on Instagram when available.
The Gathering (coming soon, watch this space)
Monthly women's circle, near Falmouth.
A monthly women's singing and connection circle, held in the front room of our old Cornish cottage. The house dates from the 1800s, and people have been gathering within these walls for a very long time. The Gathering will continue that tradition, a space for women to come together, sing, check in and simply be.

Why singing together matters
Singing with others does something to you that is difficult to explain until you have experienced it. It is grounding. It is joyful. It releases something you did not know you were holding. And it connects you to the people around you in a way that very little else does.
